As a music education major, third floor Old Main was where I lived. The weekly highlight was Thursday between band and choir rehearsals, when the members who were commuters would go out for dinner. The seasonal lowlight was when the Old Main roof would leak on us during class.

The commuting students were a dedicated group, partaking in campus activities when they could and balancing school with outside responsibilities. Please do not forget to tell their story. Whether performing in Carnegie Hall or an elementary gym, the grounding indoctrination I received at Lakeland has served me well.

Gratefully,
