The impact Lakeland has had on my life is difficult to put down in writing. Speaking to you would capture my enthusiasm. There were marvelous professors. Professor Ellerbusch, for one, gave me a gift in his class when he instilled in me an awakening to classical music. It was a music appreciation course and I was prepared to endure it. I loved it and classical music has added much to my life. I never forgot that dear teacher. There were others with equal gifts to give.

I made lifelong friends at Lakeland. The school fostered kindness, fun, respect, values and so much more. There was just a feeling of belonging, a feeling of having many there who cared. It was a feeling I can only describe as contentment. I truly was happy at Lakeland.
