I attended Lakeland College in Green Bay. I was working a part-time (close to full-time) job during the day and took classes in the evenings. I was married with two very active children. College wasn't in the plans right out of high school and after marrying, I thought I'd take evening classes to earn a degree. After several failed attempts at completing enough classes to earn a degree, I had given up until something within me said go back now and earn that degree or forget it. With the support of my family, I signed up and completed the Expository Writing class. Ms. Ammerman was my instructor and she made class enjoyable. I learned a lot and felt a sense of accomplishment. It was because of the experience I had in her class that I decided to enroll in 2004.
