Lakeland has given me so much to be thankful for. I was nervous when I started and I was sad when I left. There have been so many good memories of so many good people who are still part of my life today. I had my first child while at Lakeland and without their support and daycare I would have never finished. I learned a lot about life and love and eternal friendship that I couldn't have learned anywhere else. I gained a lot of respect for people who showed me that anything is possible if you believe and try your hardest. I gained a love of Arthurian Tradition from Lucretia Crawford, a sense of pride and confidence from JC Crawford, a respect for education from Prof Shilcutt, an understanding of God and religion from Rev. Lauer and a sense of family from my sisters in Phi Delta Omega and residents of Muehlmeier Hall. I am now the mother of two handsome, strong and intelligent sons who I have tried to pass these things down to. I hope that they will learn as much from their college experiences as I have. There are far too many people to thank for the happiness that has been brought about by my years at Lakeland, but you know who you are and I love you all!
